The vineyard at Tas Valley
The Area

The vineyard in the upper Tas Valley is situated near the charming village of Forncett Saint Peter, just 12 miles from Norwich City, and is our oldest established vineyard.

The village rectory was once home to Dorothy Wordsworth, sister of the poet William Wordsworth, and stands beside the spectacular saxon church of St Peter. William visited his sister at Fornsett 1790 and penned an unamed sonnet normally known as 'Sweet was the walk' which is thought to have been inspired by his walks alongside the River Tas.

There are a variety of attractions in the area including the Norfolk Tank Museum, Fornsett Industrial Steam Museum, fishing at Taswood Lakes, the Tas Valley Way and Banham Zoo just a few miles to the west.
